Here are some things we did today. We basically had a normal day as we had Guided Reading, Math, Social, etc.. but also did some Marting Luther King activities.
During Guided Reading each group read a biography on Martin Luther King Jr instead of reading a book. We then worked on comprehension as they answered questions about the biography.
Also during Guided Reading the students who were not with me had some Martin Luther King worksheets to work on.
We read a Martin Luther King Jr. book for Read Aloud today.
For writing we wrote a writing called "I Have a Dream" about what they dream about in the future. As they were writing they listened to parts of King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech.
